Toku is a magnificent Modern Asian restaurant owned by Gillis and George Poll. It is located at Americana Manhasset, Long Island's most impressive shopping destination. Toku's minimalist and simple design was created by Bentel & Bentel Architects, award-winning designers of The Modern at MoMA. It integrates the architecture of a 19th century Japanese home with 21st century modern elements. In the dining room, a wooden trellis captures the soothing ambiance of a Japanese garden. High-tech panels crown the sleek and reflective ceiling absorbing the sounds of merriment. The spacious bar is topped with gorgeous illuminated white onyx that gives off a warm, inviting glow. Wooden bells from 19th century mainland China hang above the sushi bar while suspended sake drums, behind the bar, add a sense of jubilant ceremony.
